| The falls are nice to see from both sides, but spending more than an afternoon on the Canada side was a waste of time. Not much to see in that part of Canada other than the falls. The people on the Canadian side were kind of jerks, at least the officialdom.

Niagra itself is a poor base, we stayed for 3 nights at the Sheraton and this was probably too much. It gave us 1 evening and 2 whole days.
The falls are amazing.
The maid of the mist was really cheap and great only £7 each and worth every cent, go out in the day and at night as the difference is brilliant.
Behind the falls is worth doing if you have time so you can get close to the side of the falls and to stand behind them and feel the power.
Went on the helicopter, look out for discount vouchers in magazines and handouts, I got a front seat with the pilot. This was 10 minutes of amazing thrill.
By now you get the idea I enjoyed this part of our holiday, yep, we both did.
The Sheraton is opposite the inferior American falls and a stroll from the Canadian falls, maid of the mist and behind the falls.
The Sheraton is in need of a refurb.
Niagra is disappointing, its main trade and money earner is young American lads crossing the border because Canadian booze laws are more relaxed. And the town is setup for them.
If you like cheap fast food then you'll be alright. Even the Italians were poor, only good thing was the range of food for breakfast. (Bacon is rubbish).
You could do Niagra in a day.
We went onto Toronto, which I'm entering as a separate review.
We flew with Globespan club class. I don't know how they can survive the price was cheap when compared with the other carriers. The service in club was excellent, good food, unlimitted booze, wide leather seats, extra legroom, more recline on the seats, etc, etc, and 40kg of luggage in the hold and 15Kg in the cabin.
2nd time in Canada, we will return.

This trip was amazing. We stopped in Niagara for two nights (three days) as part of an organised tour and it was a shame that we were not there longer!
The hotel was good, an upgrade for a room overlooking the falls is a must. The rooms were very clean and comfortable although the hotel could do with a bit of a refurb. That said, it was ok - but not spectacular.
There is plenty to see and do whilst in Niagara - a trip on The Maid of the Mist is an absolute must and is unforgetable.
I would also highly recommend the revolving restaurant on the top of the Skylon Tower. The food (buffett) was amazing and the views were incredible - an absolutely fantastic way to get a full view of the falls by night.
I'd also recommend visiting Niagara on the Lake, a quaint town just half an hour away from the Falls. This made for a beautiful, scenic day trip and was the extreme opposite of the Falls, i.e. very tranquil and relaxing!!
All in all, a very enjoyable holiday with plenty to see and do nearby.

NIAGARA-Forget the cost, it`s worth every dime/cent ! Stay in a hotel with a clear view of the Falls, our one had a door that opened in the window !
Niagara is moving, because the rushing water gives it life. DO THE MAID IN THE MIST TRIP !!!
The Canadian side is a must, the US side is Industry.

| Excellent location but you must book an upgrade for the view, otherwise you overlook the car park. stayed here a ouple of years ago and loved it so went back. But the food is not as good value as it used to be . The buffet is quite poor value for money compared to a couple of years ago. Now limited choice. The new casino next door is excellent a lot better than the old one in the clifton hill area. Can highly recommend the grand buffet in the casino , spolit for choice and excellent quality.

Did what it said on the tin!
Marvellous view of the falls.....were not expectin the view we got, and couldnt stop looking at it!
Enjoyed Niagara..wished we had stayed more than three days.Yes there are the blackpooly bits, but the crowds were good humored, and we saw mostly famillys and teens on vacation, no drunks or bad behaviour. Maid of the mist is incredible and well worth it...behind the falls not really worth it in comparison.
Meet a Mountie was fun (for me!)at table rock house, and I now have pictures to prove that I 'always get my man'!!!kids and husband both embarrassed and unconcerned in equal measure!
Niagrara on the lakes is worth more than one day, one for shopping and lunching, and one for the history of the area. Our guide could not belive how little of what we knew about 'British' history. If you are interested in the Slavery freedom trail, there is alot of info about the safe house, and the network itself.
Take time to drive, or taxi about the area, to see the clapperboard houses and the weekend cottages, and also the little churches with the huge boards outside, with witty(?) slogans on,about the sermons. The pride in the Canadian flag, flying outside both private and public buildings was a total culture shock to my teens, but has made for some stunning photos!
First Class holidays really did us proud with accomodation and transport throughout this holiday.... and sorted out problems not of their making, quickly and with good grace. I really cant thank them enough!
