| This is a super 4 star hotel situated in the Rincon area, with lovely facilities, and is very good value for money at this time of year. All the rooms seem to be south facing with a balcony. There is a good variety of food and entertainment and the indoor swimming pool is great! It is within a few minutes walking distance of the Benidorm Palace and about 10 minutes walk from the famous sandy beach and promenade. The climate at this time of year was lovely and Benidorm was not crowded, although I suspect it would be very different in the summer months!

We have just returned from this great hotel. We stayed in the Pelicanos. These two hotels had plenty of activities going on, day & night. Nice room, clean & comfy,& air con. Had champagne for brekkie as well!
Only downside was the dining room gets very busy, had problem finding vacant table, once or twice. Food very good! and yes there were chips at every sitting, but i never had them once! always found other stuff to eat.Chefs do cook some food as you watch, so it gets smoky in there. Think this was the best food choice we have had, from all the half or full board ones so far. had good weather as well for our weeks hol. Resort very nice, and beach clean. Found a cafe/bar called Games 2, very cheap drinks! Pint Amstel 1 euro, real coffee 50 cents!
Did'nt want to go home, would have liked another week.
A week was not enough to explore this resort. Will definately go back!

Opinion submitted in Sept 2005 by : Back to Benidorm for the 3rd year.
New Hotel though, we stayed at the Pelicanos thanks to reviews read on this site. We were not dissappionted.
The Hotel was spotless and the meals were for everyone.
The pool area was the highlight for us, having kids we needed to be able to obtain sunbeds, this was easy, the Hotel employed an English Lady who walked around the pool area checking for 'booked' sunbeds. People would leave their towwels then go and have breakfast...bad idea, the lady would lift their towels and take them away. We thought this was a great idea. This way it was a if your not fast your last basis!
The resort is full of entertainment and we went to alot of shows that we had not seen in previous years. Once of the best was in Bar La Rue, the lady-men hijack you in the street and ask you to come the following night, we were a wee bit apprehensive but once we were there we enjoyed it. We told our friends about it and they liked it too.
Our flight was a bit later this year, so we asked if we could pay for a room for the day and this was no problem, it cost 18euros but was well worth it just to have a shower and freshen up before being picked up.
We will go back to benidorm again at New Year

We returned to the Sol Pelicanos for the 23rd time and once again were not disappointed. The hotel has maintained its high standards year after year.
The food was well cooked and there was always plenty of choice to suit every taste - you could have pizza & chips everynight if you wanted - or you could try some traditional Spanish dishes.
All the staff in the hotel are friendly and most speak good English.
For a really cheap place to drink I recommend The Four Kings, pint of lager 1 euro (must be the cheapest in Benidorm).
If you are looking for a top quality hotel for a reasonable price this is the one for you.

Just returned from tHe Hotel Sol Costa Blanca in Benidorm and despite really back weather enjoyed the break.
The holiday is very comfortable with pleasant friendly staff and is situated in a prime site right on the beach.
It is a perfect hotel for anyone with walking difficulties as it leads straight on to the long flat promenade with no steps to negotiate. The food while not exciting was adequate and served with old style courtesy to a clientele of many nationalities, but predominantly Spanish.
The only downside we found was the entertainment - the same duo every night - perhaps that was why the hotel lounge was almost empty each evening. However being Benidorm there was a wide variety of entertainment all around within easy reach.

APARTMENTS
Basic, reasonably large apartments, well eqipped separate kitchen and large balcony. No pool bar or entertainment etc. so a very quiet place. No probs with space/sunbeds though place was deserted most of the time.
Location is approximately 5 minutes from nearest bars, 10 minutes from sea, 15 minutes from the British Square.
RESORT
A lot of British Bars both in and arounf the British Square (Calle Lepanto), and more local-ish bars along the sea front (which is really nice) More restaurants along Calle Gerona, and towards the old town of the sea front.
BARS
British Square - Champions, Chaplins, Sinatras etc, if you like getting legless and being around similar people! Around the British square there are plenty of quieter British Bars eg. Churchills/Frog & Toad (Karaoke) etc.
Sea Front for more traditional bars and someting a bit quieter Daytona is good plays rockish stuff from all ages.
TO EAT
An excellent restaurant if you are looking for a nice meal in pleasent surroundings, somewhere a bit quiter go to Las Jarras on the sea front - it is down a little alley but well worth a visit they do a special menu for 15 euros were you get bread and dips, starter, mains, desert and coffee - it is very friendly and a good atmosphere, however be warned that if you like your steaks with no pink/red bits you must make this clear as they undercook everything in Spain!
A good italian we found was called Toscana (I think) on Calle Gerona excellent salads, but if for starters order 1 between 2 as they are HUGE!
TO DO
A must is quad biking 1 hour 48 eros - but really good fun (Beniquads.com)
Aqualandia was good, as was mundomar, but a bit small - you can buy a ticket for both attractions at a disouncted price from the park (28 euros for both)

Hotel Rosaire is a clean but basic hotel
The food was very good but the chips with every thing did get too much towards the end of a fortnight. it is situated in an ideal spot for the beach and nightlife
do not be put off with the building works that are taking place outside as they did not disturb us at all
all in all the hotel was fine

Flight from Bham no concerns arrived at resort about 1 hour on the coach.
You are dropped off by a fountain and well have to look or follow where other people are going to get to the hotel. Upon arrival staff trying to get me in the restaurant, I'm having none of it as I like to put my bags away, apart from that Its ok.
The hotel is a friendly place, I am of the opinion that if you want a holiday at or around the Christmas/ New year period then this is for you (6 weeks stint). I am particularly considering the retired people when I make this suggetion.
Why stay in the UK when you can have good weather and a meal every few hours? for what amounts to a reasonable amount from what I heard.
The resort is very much Cabaret, and not my cup of tea. Spent New Years Eve, lacking in any real up to date music! The Full Monty by the hotel staff is a must, but not for children "in my opinion". The Weather was ok, you need a coat and scarf at night and take some jeans and cardigans as it can be nippy. (I know to people that go on Holiday at Xmas maybe thinking this is obvious but for the less traveld, its amazing to hear people saying that they did not think they needed a coat?)
We hired a car for three days not really worth it! no where to go unless you want traffic! (I'm used to Majorca, Ibiza where you can drive about without any hassle)
Overall, the hotel has just closed as we left and is being updated, food ok, staff work very hard and are helpfull, I would go to the hotel again but the resort not for me, I think I'm getting snobby in my old age!
Hope this helps and have a good holiday!

Just heard from my mother-in-law and her friend who on my reccomendation went to Benidorm on a ten day holiday [still there for another few days], by the sounds of it they have had a smashing time, the hotel has been refurbished to a good standard, food very good and staff friendly, also loads to do and a good time to be had in the evenings in the surrounding area.
Went out most evenings in a group of about six returning normally about midnight, including two nights ago when one of the local lads decided to pick on my mother-in-law, a 67 year old woman and drag her to the ground and steal her handbag causing her to be taken to hospital where she has a supected broken rib, four stiches in her head and of course shock, all for five euros and a camera......Local Hospital staff - Slow......Guardia Civil...Useless!
A young lad in his early teens just arriving [ in the past few days] with his mother, also badly beaten and mugged.
Warning: - Make sure you have insurance,
Dont let this put you off the Rio park it's a lovely place, just be careful when venturing out, seems like a spate of muggings in the area to which the local police are not interested in.

Just come back to stormy Britain after another great week in Benidorm. We love it there and its got something for everyone with plenty of night life, nice beaches and the sun which was particularly good this year.
Our package was full board and allocation on arrival in one of four named hotels. We ended up at the Rialto which from its description would of been our last choice. We need'nt of worried though as it was a lovely hotel and I would book it again. It is situated at the levante end not far from Burger king for those who know Benidorm and a few minutes walk into the center. Its on an elevated position but the walk up to it is easy and not too steep, unlike a lot of the hotels in that area of the town. There's also a lot of night life in the immediate vacinity so you dont really have to walk into the center for a good night out and the hotel has its own entertainment anyway. The hotel is not very big but the cleanliness and service is excellent. All the staff go out of there way to make sure you enjoy your holiday. The food is lovely with plenty of choices and at breakfast time you can have a full english every day if you want. Smoking is not allowed anywhere in the hotel but at least they allow you to smoke on your balcony or on the terrace where ash trays are provided. This is good as many hotels in Benidorm have a strict no smoking policy now. Rooms are not a bad size either and the maids come in every day to tidy round and change towels etc.

Hi, all well the long and short of it i hired a safety deposit box in my room in the hotel regente, had 390pounds english notes, and a 100pounds euro's and my car keys with immobiliser, all were stolen by some member of staff from the hotel, as i always had the key in my bag. This happened not even a week into our holiday which made us have to really budget our money and with a 12year old son and a 8year old daughter it made it worse because we couldn't afford the things we wanted to do with them. Security guards of the hotel were seen on numerous occasions entering or leaving the rooms in a suspicious way, very sneaky looking.
All in all with the money stolen and how much it will cost to replace the locks to my car and the immobiliser, we have had about 600pounds stolen. Receptionist denied everything said it was not possible as there is only one key, but i wonder if i had the one key, and there was no forced entry to either room door of safety box where did my money go obviously you know the answer as much as i do. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this hotel to ANYONE, and most certainly WILL NOT be re-visiting the hotel ever again..........

| Have returned from a week at the Hotel Orange and must say we were quite impressed. Hotel was spotlessly clean but we've never seen so many pensioners in one place!Lots of bars close by that are normally hectic in summer, were quiet during the time we were there. Plenty of shops towards the old town. Hotel staff very polite and friendly. Food? Plenty to chose from and well presented. We would go again but the Orange will be closing after the summer for a total refit.

Opinion submitted in Dec 2004 by : Me and my partner spent a week in the hotel in mid July our first impressions of the hotel were very good it looked old but very tidy. but that is were it ended when we got to our room the bed linen was filthy and I didn't get a shower the whole time i was there due the shower hanging off the wall and not working.
The balcony was a disgrace as it had not been cleaned from the time before and there were empty beer and vodka bottles, used toilettries ( not soap) and other rubbish.
The pool area I have to say was very good. a great selection of sunbeds and you never got the feeling that it was cramped.
The breakfast room again was tidy but I was disappointed with the selection to eat.
I feel that our holiday was slightly ruined because the hotel did not employ decent cleaning staff who must have done one room and then skipped one to go onto another

On the 20th of june i booked a weeks holiday, through xcape with us,at the hotel orange benidorm, paid for it by visa, and recieved booking voucher, and confirmation letter the same day.On the 1st of september i was phoned by xcape with us to say that the hotel orange could not accomadate us as they were overbooked, some 10 weeks after booking and paying for the accomadation.they offered me accomadation in a sister hotel.
I contacted the manager at xcape with us, also the manager of the hotel orange, who both denied any responsibility for the overbooking, giving the impression that this was standard practice.my point is,that if you book a hotel on line, you are not bound to stay in the hotel you selected, and as i did,get an awfull lot of aggrevation ino the bargain..
