| Dubai is fantasic, Be warned it is very hot in the summer months although accommodation is cheaper then. If you can afford try to stay on the Beach side rather than in the city, theres much more to do near the beach, there's fantastic sights, great beaches, water parks, malls, you name it. The city can be a bit horrible and if you only experience the city you may like it. We stayed in private rented accommodation during our trip but also managed a night at the Jumeiah Beach hotel which was 1st classs service. We also managed dinner to the Burj Al Arab which is very nice for a look but i wouldn't bother going back again! Madinat Jumeriah has to be my favourite, its got shops, restaurants and its a hotel. We have been 3 times now and we always have a great time. Dune bashing is brilliant fun. One word of advice ladies - cover up in the city centre and to the shopping malls. If you go, enjoy

| Dubai is an all round visual tourist attraction. Unfortunately the heat was just too much. Not great as a culture or historical destination but certainly a visual spectacle.

| We had a fantastic time in Dubai, even managed to book one night in the famous Burj Al Arab which broke the bank. Weather a bit too hot but otherwise a fantastic destination. Very clean.

Dubai is an Amazing City with something for everyone. You can shop till you drop, literally, sit in the sun all day, party all night and even go skiing in a giant indoor ski centre. Great golf courses, amazing restaurants you name it and if this city doesn't have it, it will very soon.
Oh and you must go on a desert safari it's fantastic! Dune Bashing, visit a cammel farm, watch the sunset and then have a traditional Arabic feast with plenty of beer and wine thrown in.

Dubai is a strange yet fantastic place to visit. I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes hot weather, sandy beaches, huge shopping malls and supurb hospitality.
Some people think you can't drink alcohol out there but they are very mis-informed. All the hotels have licenses to sell alcohol, and nearly every hotel in Dubai seems to have many restaurants and bars, there are a few night clubs too.
Before you book a hotel, I would first check that it's not to close to any building sites as Dubai seems to be the fastest growing city in the world, with new hotels and apartments springing up what seemed daily. Other than this and the rush hour traffic, Dubai was great and I personally will definately go back, hopefully soon!
