Villamoura was built on site occupied by Romans more than 2000 years ago. This modern, yet beautiful new town has something for everyone. Whether you are a kin to taking a walk around a museum, playing golf, sea fishing, water sports or a quick flutter in the casino you're sure to find something to entertain you.

A recent development 'Roma Golf', a crazy golf course, combines the most amazing gardens, water features with family entertainment and local history. The Roma is deisgned with ancient Rome in mind yet offers gardens of local shrubs, trees and plants.

Wander around the marina where Prince Andrew moored during his most recent visit to the Algarve. Relax in one of the waterside restaurants and enjoy a wide variety of international cuisine.

Vilamoura has a very wide suitability. Popular with sports enthusiasts, particularly golfers. The flat terrain makes it a favourite choice for holidaymakers with physical disabilities. Vilamoura has everything from 2nd-class pensions and 3-star hotels to luxury villas and 5-star hotels.

Vilamoura is located about halfway along Portugal's south coast, 15 mls west Faro and its airport. The place is set on mainly flat land, situated between the national road and the coast and bordering the resort of Quarteira.
