Trianta village retains a traditionally Greek atmosphere offering the opportunity to mix with the locals. In contrast, the coastal area is commercialised and geared only to tourism. Covering an area of ½ ml N to S and ¾ ml E to W, Trianta village lies at the foot of steep, pine-covered hills and on the edge of the cultivated Ialyssos coastal plain which largely comprises olive groves.

This area caters for a wide range, from upmarket clients to visitors on a restricted budget. Can suit every type of need.

Trianta has everything from from large, well-equipped hotels to basic apartments and pensions.

On the far N coast. 6 mls SW of Rhodes Town. 2 mls W of Ixia. 4 mls E of the airport. Located between Ixia and the airport, taking in a lengthy slice of beach along with the villages of Trianta, Kremasti and Pastida, the last situated 2 mls inland.

A shingle beach runs the length of the resort. The Meltemi wind provides constant natural air conditioning during the hot summer months and that, together with low waves and uniform current, make Trianta a windsurfers' paradise.

There are 5 windsurfing stations along the beach and a water-sports school offering tuition in both windsurfing and sailing. Other water sports available include kite-surfing, canoeing, pedalloes and sailing.

Kremasti Beach offers a variety of water sports including windsurfing, jet-skis and pedalloes, sunbeds and parasols (charge), and small beachfront snack bars and tavernas.

Evenings provide a wide selection of bars and cafes.

There is a large choice restaurants and traditional tavernas offering Greek cuisine. There are many take-aways offering the traditional kebebs.

Shops in the village cater for both locals and tourists, the shops in the coastal area sell mainly souvenirs.
