Corfu is considered to be one of the most beautiful islands in Greece. Many tourists are drawn to it's stunning beaches and beautiful landscapes and Sidari is no exception.

Once just a collection of houses, the beach resort of Sidari has developed ribbon-like along the road from Corfu Town. The main town is just under 1½ mls long and not more than ½ ml at its widest. It is one of the most rapidly developing resorts in Corfu and most of the latest developments are family-owned, small-scale apartment blocks with nothing over 3 storeys.

This is a safe, quiet, family package-holiday destination. Walkers will appreciate the gentle hills.

The accommodation consists of a wide range of self-catering accommodation, with more stylish apartments being built. Some basic hotels dotted throughout.

The beaches are long, narrow, not particularly picturesque beaches of sand and shingle. The sea is often incredibly calm, almost pond-like and shallow for a long, long way. However, it is not crystal clear owing to the sandy sediment. Some seaweed. Sand and shingle coves can be found below the low eroded cliffs to the W.

Sidari is located on the W part of the long N coast, 4 mls W of Roda, 26 mls NW of Corfu Town and airport. It is set on a gently curving bay of the same name, in a flat area with green hills rising inland.

The daytime offers the usual beach activities, water sports, pedalloes and canoes. Hot spots include the beach hill and coastal walks and not too far away an exhilirating water park.

Night time offers 2 discos and masses of bars usually belonging to local accommodation but open to the public, many offer videos and cocktailsand occaisional entertainment.

Taste the culture at more little Greek tavernas than you can shake a stick at, Greece's typical all-day British breakfasts (more than in the UK we think) there are a couple of Chinese, 1 Indian, and the odd pizzeria.

Full day excursions include a wide choice of coach tours throughout the island, including Corfu Town, Paleokastritsa, Greek ruins and water park, boat tours to the islands of Paxos and Erikoussa, the Greek mainland at Parga and even neighbouring Albania; beach cruises.
