The resort of Los Cristianos is a neighbour of Playa de las Americas, just a little quieter it is ideal for families! Only forty five minutes transfer from Sur Reina Sofia Airport.
Los Cristianos is more sophisticated than its playful neighbour and here you will find more couples and families enjoying the restaurants and bars!
There are still a few places if you fancy partying the night away, but not as much choice as Playa de las Americas. You are also to find here a wide range of restaurant with the local cuisines, Spanish tapas, English food and Chinese are the main variety for you to decide from!
Bars are more relaxed and have a variety of salsa, jazz, live bands and cover bands to choose from!
Los Cristianos is on the south west coast (45 mls S of the capital Santa Cruz, 1½ mls S of Playa de las Americas, 11 mls W of Reina Sofia airport). It is situated on a S-facing bay backed by parched hills. It is close to its bigger, brasher neighbour, the Playa de las Americas.
The beaches here a big attraction. The beach in Los Cristianos , Playa de las Vistas is undoubtedly the best beach for children. There are lots of water sports available along the beach like parasailing, several diving clubs and your typical holiday sports the ringo's and banana boats, as well as peddlo's and wet biking.
There are a lot of excursions that run from here including the Jeep safaris, Mount Tiede Tours, Whale watching and if all that's not enough you could hire a car and go for the day exploring!
There are also places to visit nearby, such as the main water park at the resort of Playa de las Americas, Octopus Aqua Park! The other one on the island isn't far either in Adeje!
There are also Zoos, Gardens, Golf clubs, Whale watching and Dolphin watching, go-karting, fishing and lost of water sports! So you will never be stuck for anything to do!
Most are either a free bus ride or short taxi ride if you cannot drive or do not want to hire a car!
