Overview:

A small, quiet resort rather lacking in Greek ambience, centred on 4 large hotel complexes. Situated in an unspoilt area with few amenities or attractions beyond the beach and hotel facilities

The area caters mainly for independent travellers and those wanting a peaceful, relaxing holiday. Also popular with locals as a weekend escape from Rhodes Town. The 4 hotels offer good family accommodation and facilities. Own transport is an advantage.

The accommodation here offers 4 large hotels with a few small, family-run pensions and apartments. All accommodation is close to the beach.

Locality:

Kiotari is on the east coast of the island, 2 mls SW of Lardos; the same distance NE of Gennadi, 44 mls SW of Rhodes Town and the airport. It is situated on a beach backed by hills.

Entertainment/Facilities/Attractions/Things to do:

There is a large beach stretching the length of the resort, with sunbeds and sun umbrellas. It is sandy at one end, changing to shingle at the other. There is a variety of water sports on offer and a couple of snack bars/tavernas.

For shopping there is 3 supermarkets and a handful of tourist shops and a small shopping arcade.

During the daytime there is beach and water-based activities including banana boats, windsurfing, parasailing, jet-skis and water-skiing; entertainments provided by hotels.

The nightlife here consists of a couple of beachside bars, otherwise it is all hotel based.

For meal times there is a handful of family-run tavernas and snack bars offering local fare and overlooking beach front.
