Situated just off the coast of France on the edge of the English Channel lie the beautiful Channel Islands.

The Channel Islands are a collection of five small islands off the coast of North West France, the largest of which is Jersey. The Channel Islands are a magnet for tourists in Summer with their stunning scenery, varied heritage and narrow roads they are especially suited to walking or beach holidays. They're in fact famous for stoic resistance during the German occupation in World War II, with remnants of that war still dotting the landscape.


The local language and pubs may be English, but the islands were once a part of Normandy, so many of the place names and roads, as well as the food are decidedly French.
