Holiday guide Binibeca

Overview:

Binibeca is characterised by private white washed villas and sun drenched patios, perfect for those looking for a quiet villa holiday with their own pool. The golden sandy beach is gently shelving, ideal for families with children.  Sun loungers and pedaloes are available for hire and there is a beach bar for snacks and drinks. Binibeca Vell, also known as Pueblo de Pescadores, is a quaint, present-day re-creation of a "typical" fishing village in miniature built around a long sea inlet. Several "urbanizaciones" surround it including Binisafua and Cala Torret.

Locality:

Binibeca is situated near the S tip of the island, 7½ mls from the airport and Mahon.

Entertainment/Facilities/Attractions/Things to do:

Binibeca is labeled with an upmarket tag, not generally preferred by those looking for significant organised entertainment. Accommodation here consists of almost entirely private villas and bungalow apartments. The beach here is set within a small sandy cove with rock bathing and moorings. There is very little here in terms of entertainment, a sports club with tennis court and some prehistoric monuments in the vicinity. The main attraction to Binibeca is the picturesque scenery and the relaxed atmosphere filled with an air of sophistication and a set of somewhat extraordinary buildings and homes at the north end. There are some but few bars & restaurants a few of which are open throughout the evening providing the only nightlife.
