Overview:

Alikes is one of the most popular holiday destinations on the island. It is a fairly small resort with very friendly atmosphere and features some of the top beaches on Zante/Zakynthos. Situated north of Zakynthos Town, Alikes is about a 30 minute drive from the airport. The beach at Alikes is split-up by a jetty which is used by the local fishermen, and water sports such as paragliding, jet-ski's, and ringo-rides are enjoyed by all. The village contains a number of shops, restaurants, bars, and taverna's.

Locality:

Alikes is located at the centre of the island's N coast, 12 mls NW of Zakynthos (Zante) and 17 mls NW of the airport. It is amongst the last in a string of resorts on the N coast, furthest from Zakynthos.

Entertainment/Facilities/Attractions/Things to do:

Alikes is a very family-orientated resort, but also suitable for newly-weds and older couples. 'Beachwise' there is one large bay which is split into three sandy beaches, all equally good. Water sports are also available. Accommodation here consists of mainly self-catering studios and a number of hotels.

The main attraction here is sunbathing, water sports and long walks. By night there are disco's in the resort centre and a number of bars which are suitable for family evenings or a fun night out.
